Arrival to Krakow, a vibrant city in southern Poland. Krakow is known for its rich history, diverse culture, and well-preserved medieval architecture. It was once the capital of Poland and remains a major center of academic, cultural, and artistic life. The city’s Old Town, including the Main Market Square, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, showcasing a blend of Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque style.Transfer to hotel, free time.
After breakfast, we will enjoy Kraków’s Old Town guided tour. Old town survived the Second World War, so you’re able to feel the ambiance of the days when it used to be the capital of Europe’s largest country. We will admire the medieval city walls and Barbican, the Main Market Square with Cloth Hall ,St Mary’s church with its famous trumpeter, Collegium Maius, the oldest building of the oldest university in Poland, Archbishop Palace and “papal window” ,Wawel Hill with the Cathedral and Castle’s courtyard and the Wawel’s Dragon.
After breakfast, free day to explore Krakow on your own or OPTIONAL Auschwitz-Birkenau Guided Tour. Today pay your respects at the site of the Auschwitz-Birkenau Concentration Camp.
We will enter the Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum for a 3.5-hour guided tour of the former Nazi concentration camps.
We will hear how 1.3 million Jews, along with prisoners from Poland, France and Italy were murdered there during World War II. We will see the infamous “Arbeit Macht Frei” gate and learn the origins of the camp and what life was like for the prisoners.
We will visit the original barracks and gas chambers, along with platforms and other sites, and take a poignant trip through history via period photos and personal artifacts that bring the past to life. Return to Krakow.
After breakfast, free day to explore Krakow on your own or OPTIONAL Zakopane Tour with Cable Car.
Zakopane is the capital of Polish Tatra Mountains. There is a superb scenery, perfect for winter sports lovers and fans of summer trekking trails. This area also has a characteristic dialect and splendid food. We will see a unique wooden architecture and sculptor’s house in Chocholow village. Then we will visit Witow village for local cheese (Oscypek) and spirits tasting. Next we will see Zakopane traditional marketplac. Next, Gubalowka Hill Cable Car for iconic views of Tatra Mountains. We will enjoy some free time at Krupowki main street of Zakopane. After admiring a unique wooden architecture of the region at Chapel of Jaszczurówka and Peksowy Brzyzek famous wooden cemetery, we will head back to Krakow.
